Our London studio at Westminster Live
A working multi–studio broadcast centre in a stunning location on Albert Embankment overlooking the Houses of Parliament.
Mentor regularly uses these HD broadcast facilities to deliver media training in the most realistic environment possible. Sitting in the hotseat here, instantly lets you feel what it's like to be interviewed on live national television, or to be the grand inquisitor.
This event will prepare you for any multi-camera environment, the studio lights, with useful tips on what to wear and what to avoid.
The atmosphere really helps to gel your team on any away day, giving them a first-hand insight into how busy TV studios work.
Everyone, from pop royalty to the real article, HRH Princess Royal, Simon Cowell and Barack Obama, have broadcast live on dozens of channels around the world from these studios.
While there’s only a small chance you’ll bump into any ‘A’ listers in the corridors at Westminster Live, you can rest assured you are following directly in their footsteps.
Mentor very recently provided a broadcast, fun away day for train operating company GWR, where their team used media to learn about the processes, methods and practices of the modern news media.
Or if you prefer to get away from it all?
Mentor’s partnership with ACF Teambuilding on a stunning 200 acre vineyard really lets you get away from it all and enter a whole new world for a day.
This inspiring, fun day will allow you and your team/s to learn the techniques required to operate a functioning broadcast media newsroom.
Using experienced, specialist media training journalists you will experience what it’s like to make critical decisions in real time news gathering and TV production, all to a timed deadline.
You will be expected to produce a 10 minute programme, with written studio presenter links, 3 news reports ( which may comprise; live location 2-way report /studio chat/ pre-recorded packages)
Points may be awarded / judged on accuracy & quality of treatment / use of social media / story choice.
